Hi there,

Thank you for being here. I am a yoga teacher, meditation guide, mom, nature lover and avid traveler.

My journey with yoga began when I was studying dance in the World Arts & Cultures program at UCLA. I originally signed up for a course in Yoga as a way to unwind from the long days of training. I remember balancing in warrior three during our very first class and feeling a sense of presence as I found balance in the pose. From then on, I was hooked. I continued to practice and study with world class teachers in Santa Monica, CA.

Post graduation, I completed a 200hr teacher training while working full time for the Greek and Pantages Theatres. Upon completion of my certification, I started teaching at Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga, a popular donation based studio in Santa Monica.

After a few years of balancing my corporate career with teaching, I decided to leave my job and fly to Bora Bora to work alongside my teachers on their up and coming paddle board company. While the company did not come to fruition, it was the impetus from which my teaching career began and I soon thereafter landed in the sunny community of Manhattan Beach where I still teach today.

Over the years, I have been blessed to work with a number of organizations who are passionate about sharing health and wellness with the world including Glo, Udaya Yoga, YogisAnonymous, Unplug Meditation, The Green Yogi, and Yoga Wake Up. All of these platforms offer world class classes and programs you can enjoy right in the comfort of your own home or anywhere, anytime.

In 2017, my husband and I welcomed our first child, Clover, into the world. The moment she was born my life forever changed. She traveled with us for the first two years of her life before her baby brother was born in 2020.

Using these practices along the parenting journey has allowed us to maintain a strong and supportive environment at home. We are able to communicate, remain patient and enjoy all of the moments that make up the miracle of life. Our children have become my greatest teachers and I am so grateful for their presence each and every day.

My passion lies in empowering people to lead their best lives through movement, mindfulness and Ayurveda-based nutrition. If you would like to book a private consultation, session are available in person or via Skype. You can learn more about those offerings here.

We are constantly updating our offerings and posting photos of our travels on social media. Find us @aliomyoga to stay in touch.

Thank you once again for being here and reading my story. Look forward to seeing you online or on the mat.

Love,

Ali
